Advising Philosophy

My advising philosophy is to equip and empower students to effectively engage with their academic goals and be able to connect their academic progression with their long term goals and desired careers and more broadly the world. More specifically, I aim to enable students to autonomously navigate the wide-range of topics that they will encounter in professional and academic settings. My aim is to help engender a sense of independence and responsibility in each of my advisees which in turn will allow them to take charge of their own academic progress, goals, and careers.
